The 30th Anniversary of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras took place on the weekend and was an absolute hoot! I marched in the FagTag float and then got all frocked up for the 2am show. In 1988 and 1998 a mass of drag performers took to the stage to perform the classic anthem ‘I Am What I Am’. Once more in 2008 the legend was re-created with performers flying in from all over the country to be apart of history. I had the pleasure of being in this show, along side some legends!
