The lovely people at SX magazine did a fab feature on the cast of FAKE and put our Warholized mugs on the cover. I came up with the cover concept when I saw the video of the show the first time. When the lights went to UV and our makeup lit up I instantly saw an Andy Warhol inspired visual. Then when SX asked us to shoot the cover I thought that perhaps we could shoot the images in UV lights and then Warhol the rest. I watched several youtube tutorials on different photoshop tools and i finally learnt what the Pen tool is for! I totally love the effect! Summer is about to kick off in Sydney although you would not know it from the current weather… SameSame.com.au have a fun new web TV show called Surf Camp and I… rather Shane… is the host.

Surf Camp will be rolling out over Summer on Same Same with a new episode every few weeks. The premise is simple: we follow 5 gay boys as they learn to surf for the very first time.

But the outcome of the show is in your hands. After viewing each 5-minute episode of Surf Camp, you’re invited to come back to Same Same and vote for your favourite boy. At the end of Summer, we’ll be left with the ultimate Surf Camper.

Over the coming weeks you’ll meet the five boys – Jesse, Brennan, Ryan, Ben and Josh – the surf instructor Raf and Surf Camp host Shane Jenek (That’s me!!!). Surf Camp is brought to you by Same Same and filmmaker extraordinaire Vincent Rommelaere.

I am having so much fun in my return to Oxford St. Friday nights at the Shift are just like the good old days. The club is packed and cranking and the shows are so much fun. I love love love the 2:30 show which I have titled ‘WOW’ (Thanks Kylie). This week is week 6… I think… and we are just going from strenghth to strenghth.

The gorgeous Heath filled in last week for Daniel Slater, who is back this week much to the enjoyment of his appreciation society.
