Last year at the Aria’s I was hosting on the red carpet for Australian Idol. Dean Geyer was the hot favourite on Idol at the time and I had the fortune of interviewing him. I had previously turned up to a taping of Idol with a sign saying ‘Marry Me Dean’, and so I saw this as the perfect opportunity for him to pop the question! And he did! On camera he got down on one knee and proposed! He asked for my hand in marriage…. I retold the story to Andy & Adrian on JOY FM which they dugg out of the archives when they interviewed Dean on their show about his recent engagement to Lisa Origliasso from The Veronica’s! Two gay institutions celebrated birthdays yesterday. Kylie Minogue turned the big 4.0h and MaleBox @ Stonewall hotel turned 10. And the peeps at SameSame.com.au threw a massive party across three levels to celebrate! It was a fab night. I hosted Kylie-oke and the Kylie look-a-like comp! There was a massive birthday card that was passed around for all to sign, and a very pretty Kylie cake. The night cranked on untill the wee hours of this morning. Although I took my camera it remained in my handbag all night long and I didn’t take one picture, but you can check out the SameSame photo gallery here.

Now that I don’t have a HDD recorder I can’t tape SYTYCD on a Sunday night (as I have been hostessing at TradeMark), but I have been catching up with all the happenings online. I love Rhys! I love that he is such a fabulous dancer and performer. I love that he is every drop himself. It is inspiring to see him on the TV doing his thing. I love that he embraces make-up. I love that he embraces himself.

Today I took my childhood teddy bears and gave them to charity, Kids With AIDS. It was hard to do, but I know they will put smiles on some little kids faces, like they put a smile on my face for so many years! Goodbye Rumple Bear, goodbye Popple!

To prepare for my trip to Canada I thought I would indulge myself in their arts scene and, last Friday, watched Celine in Las Vegas on DVD. That was really to get me in the mood for this Friday (tonight) when Jesse and I had tickets to go to her concert here in Sydney! Unfortunately she got a throat infection and rescheduled to the 5th, when I will be in her home country. I have decided that Celine is to Canada, as Kylie is to Australia.

Check this out. My good friend Linda gave me an eye shadow the other day called ‘Caught in the act Courtney’! So random. The range is called ‘Shady Lady’ which I found very fitting.

I sent an email to the manufacture and they have informed me ‘That eye shadow was named after a Courtney who used to work in our office’. What a funny coincidence!
